THIS IS MY DAY
This is My Day
I wake to see the veil of dawn breaking-
The earth is dark and I watch with wonder
This is my day and I will take hold of it.
Sun’s golden hues illuminate my garden-
Deeply I breathe in the new day’s mystique.
The earth smells of freshness…
Life pulsates all around me.
I did not create the life;
Ah! but I did plant each flower…
Though I did not craft the blooms,
I did design a place for them to blossom.
Falling dew spreads nature’s lace round-
I didn’t create the dew,
But did design a place for it to water.
My heart is like a garden
With dark night…yes, even cold, dark nights.
Come oh thirsty heart and drink in the morning
Be watered and refreshed…
This is my day and I will take hold of it.
When Eagles Fly
When eagles fly- they fly alone
Above beyond- they build their home-
Wings that span from earth to sky
The rushing wind helps them fly.
Here we stand
Alone it seems
At our feet
Lay broken dreams
If we could hear
The rushing wind
Our wings would rise-
To fly again
When eagles fly-
They fly alone-
Upward to the heavenly throne
Where God hears
Their unique cry
Revives the dreams
They thought had died.

Struggle

In the darkness of the night,
`
I struggle within;
`
A struggle of the mind…where sin begins.
`
Storm winds blow against what’s right…
`
Hold me Lord…Hold me tight.
`
Voices from the wild, both near and far,
`
Call to persuade…lower the bar.
`
I fall on my knees in solitude of prayer;
`
On the threshing floor-God meet me here.
`
While I wait before you now…
`
Humbly, I renew my vows.
`
You know the way so you must lead
`
Who will go?
`
Lord send me.
`
Carve my path for each new day.
`
May my feet never stray;
`
Keep me Lord on the narrow way.
`
`
The heavens open wide and the thunder of His voice
`
Resounds His mighty power against the evil force
`
At bay he holds the demons with just one command
`
Yet He gently lifts me up in the palm of His hand.
`
Worship is the key that unlocks the door
`
The Lord of harvest reigns on the threshing floor.
`
“Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10).
`
Here is the paradox in this term “be still.”
`
While we must take the initiative to fulfill our responsibilities
`
and live our lives, friction resulting from living in a world of sin
`
will still challenge us.
`
Taking the initiative to live a holy life still isn’t a
`
substitute for the Grace of the Cross so freely given.
`
Jesus’ said he would pray to his father that we be
`
given the Holy Spirit which is our source of strength.
`
(cf. James 4:13-17).

WAVES OF PEACE
Climb of Faith

`
`
Climb of Faith
`
This side of the mountain looked so bright.
`
A soft glow from the sun was shedding its light.
`
Draping, Etching, Drawing and sketching.
`
A mystery to look beyond.
`
The peak of this giant stood tall and Grandeur;
`
Oh, how inviting! I just wanted to climb there,
`
Atop the lofty height;
`
There all things seemed serene, though out of sight.
`
I wonder what’s on the other side!

Stand By Me
Please click on track for songs
Cool mornings, beginning of days…
Youth awakes in sun’s bright rays
The choice is made to stand or play.
STAND BY ME
Plans contrived with good intentions
Suddenly dissolve with new inventions-
Like sand in the wind…sin grabs attention.
STAND BY ME
Forgetting vows, we go astray–
Embracing worldly views that way;
The good we would…we throw away.
STAND BY ME
But tomorrow gives another chance…
To walk straight or do the dance-
Life moves us in our stance.
STAND BY ME
All our vows to God negate?
The choice depends on how we rate
Our Father God and heaven’s gate.
STAND BY ME
Remember the Creator while still young;
There’s nothing new under the sun;
Keep on track til the race is done.
STAND BY ME
Doing all we can to stand-
Reach to hold the Master’s hand
Take up your Cross and join His band.
STAND BY ME.

TEMPTATIONS
TEMPTATION
`
`In the still of the night a small voice cried
`Carefully, I listened to the faint call-
`Then out of my own heart the cry arose
`Fight for your soul without repose.
`
`Deception and fraud are Satan’s tools-
`He robs the blind, deaf and dumb.
`The battle rages while the tempter’s power
`rides through darkness seeking to devour.
`
`Ensnared on his path, the weak stumble along…
`The battle ensues over freedom-
`Deep calls unto deep; and my soul cries,
`Save me Lord…lest I die.
`
`Without hesitation, God answers the call
`Sending His angels to fight…
`Then holding back ancient powers of hell
`The Speaking Blood breaks the spell.

SONG OF THE MORNING
Song of the Morning
Morning mist rolls in-a mysterious new day appears.
Clouds and moisture play over rocks beautifully bare.
God in majesty displays nature’s chiseled art
draped with perfect colors…
a reflection of God’s heart
and the beauty of creation reveals Deity’s face.
The dessert is glad…the wilderness rejoices
birthing blooms that fill the sand with gardens of roses.
You’ve given life to the waste lands
and watered dry places;
giving hope to the hopeless…
wiped tears from sad faces.
Like the crocus in autumn
your blooms long and graceful
your saffron seasons meat
you make all things beautiful.
God, you’re my God and I praise you.

THE CARING SHEPHERD
The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want-
`
He makes me lie down in pastures so green.
`
He restores my soul in His valleys of peace…
`
His love gives my heart sweet release.
`
He’s the Shepherd of the Lambs-
`
And He cares for his Sheep.
`
His heart never wearies-
`
His eyes never sleep.
`
He leads us to streams where the waters flow clean;
`
and heals our diseases in this life giving stream.
`
The Shepherd of love hears His lambs that call;
`
They bleat for their master, when they start to fall.
`
He leaves all the rest for His little lost lambs;
`
Pours in the oil and feeds them by hand.
